About Ann

Ann has always been a Graphic Designer. That’s all she ever wanted to be and has never done anything else!

Since 1990 she has successfully run her own graphic design and print companies, with business partners, teams of designers and production professionals. Building a large client base across all areas of design, advertising and print with an emphasis on being environmentally friendly.

Always at the forefront of technology, Ann has worked and trained some of the best in the industry. Working on the launches of new magazines like What’s On TV, various national women’s magazines, and on national newspapers at times of great change in these industries.

She created training movies for the first ever training CD developed by tech entrepreneur Mark Vernon. It was for the software package Adobe Illustrator. And was also the first ever female layout artist on the Daily Mirror sports desk back in the ’80s!

On the advice of her industry colleagues, she started her own graphic design company. This attracted a client base of local and national businesses and charities, both big and small. Working across all areas of design from the luxury retail, financial, manufacturing and the business to business sectors. Today, the design demands being met is for work across all platforms, including print, web design, advertising, exhibitions, retail campaigns and in-store promotions.

Ann has worked with packagers, publishers, authors and illustrators for many years to produce designs and artwork for various licensed characters… Rugrats, Casper, the original Jurassic Park movie and the Marvel stable.

After 16 years co-owning various design and print businesses she decided to move back to trading as an independent creative and she started Annex Design in 2006. With her grounding in skills-based creative, she has built successfully on her experience and reputation across the industry. Ann also works with web development networks to produce creative web design solutions with them.

Ann keeps up to date with the latest production systems, using Apple hardware and all industry standard software. This affords her the freedom and flexibility to work with anyone, anywhere, at any time. The studio she works from is in Bromley, London.
